Beauty is in the Details

Have you ever taken an in-depth look at an item that you've passed, seemingly millions of times before?

Perhaps it was that blade of grass that is looking more green than ever? Perhaps it is the deep blue in your young Lady Friend's eyes? Just perhaps it is in that ever so small speck on your glasses that never seems to come off? Have you ever done that? I sure have. It seems that there is something consistent about these various objects that gain my attention. They are all small--often overlooked--details.

I propose a thought to you. "The beauty is in the details."

Am I right? Next time you look out your window--you know, the one right beside you--take a gander at the clouds. What do you see? Do you see the soft curvatures that make the bubbly shape? Do you see the flow of the latter end of the cloud that looks like the tail of a horse? What about the hue of blue in the sky? Is it bright? Gloomy? Perhaps ever nonexistent?

My challenge is this: Next time you are in your favorite environment, find one thing to focus on. Look at it and search for what makes that object beautiful. Take out that old notebook in your desk or on your bookshelf and journal for a few minutes. I guarantee, after meeting this challenge a half-a-dozen times, you will never look at the beautiful life that God has given us the same again.
